Today we arrived to the airport in Paris and anxiously awaited our 5 hour train ride to Nice! I had never been on a train before so I was curious to see what it would be like. It was very long and tiring but also extremely beautiful. We took such a scenic route and got to see all of the beautiful country sides. We all wanted nothing more but to sleep, but it was too pretty to miss. The train was a double decker, which was pretty cool!! Our cart was full of entertainment! The man who collected our tickets was quite entertaining, he was doing magic tricks for us and he was actually pretty good! Customs came and began to search the people just a few seats behind us, they were going through their luggage and all! It turns out the man sitting behind us had something illegal on him, we are assuming drugs. The train also served wine, so of course we had to try it! Getting off of the train was so exciting, the walk back to the hostel was breath taking! We saw plenty of stores and restaurants that we could not wait to try! We finally arrived at the hostel and were divided into rooms. My room was with eight girls, 1 toilet, 2 showers and 0 mirrors. Getting ready was interesting to say the least. That night we ate at the hostel, they served us beef and mashed potatoes which was a surprisingly good meal to start off with! We spent the night at the hotel bar, making friends with the staff of the hostel and having a great time!
