Paris by Train

The final leg of our journey in France began Friday as we left Bordeaux behind and set out for Paris. Thankful our train to Paris, unlike our flight from Nice to Bordeaux, didn't depart at some ungodly hour, though we did have to navigate the Bordeaux trams with luggage in tow in order to reach the train station.

Our train departed from Gare St. Jean at 11:00am for a three hour ride to Paris. We rode on a TGV, the same type of train we rode from Paris to Nice over a week ago. The train to the capital was expectedly crowed an some students had trouble finding space for their luggage.

As our ride progressed northward the greenery of Aquitaine turned to snow. Many students slept and some read to pass the time. As we approached our destination we rode through a less than picturesque Parisian neighborhood. We arrived at our station around 2pm and then headed to the Paris metro to make our way to the hostel.
