| Atop Castle in Nice |
We have had an amazing time in Nice! From Eze Village to the walking tour with James aka the best tour guide ever, it has been magical.
Yesterday afternoon, Jordan and I traveled to Monaco! We visited Monte Carlo and the cafe next door. I experienced something very interesting at dinner however. In the Lavatory at said restaurant it has a self-cleaning device within the toilet. This isn't your typical device however...

Upon flushing the toilet the seat begins to spin and change shape while a small soap box type instrument comes out of the back of the toilet and cleans. At this point I was pushed up against the stall door scared for my life as the toilet attempts to, or atleast as I understood it, transform into a small creature. Ahh the wonders of one of the wealthiest areas in the world.
Other observations are a bit less exciting, but equally interesting. The French are known to be more laid back, taking their time at dinner, with work, etc. This is called laissez faire! The interest for me in this concept is that the animals seem to exhibit the same characteristics. Pigeons don't hunt wildly for food and do travel alone; dogs walk the street with their owners without a leash; and the birds overall are very approachable. The dogs seem to not care about being pet! You can even walk up right next to a pigeon and never know you did. ![]() |

Maybe the concept is universal to France? Only time will tell I suppose.
For now enjoy the pictures! There are a few from atop a mountain/old castle we traveled to on the walking tour; one from the train station in Monaco; and a meal in Old Town Nice.
Au Revoir!
