Etap Hotel

Although our stay in Nice was fabulous, the time has come to move on to our next destination: Bordeaux!  The hotel we're staying at is known as the Etap Hotel, and the atmosphere couldn't be more different than the one at the Villa Saint Exupery Beach hostel. Instead of living in dorm-style rooms with a downstairs bar and lots of other younger travelers, the Etap Hotel is a more family-oriented environment. For a budget hotel, the rooms are pretty nice! Most of us are in triple rooms, although there is one double and one single. 

As you can see, our room is already messy.

Downstairs, instead of a bar and dining area, there's a pleasant cafe where breakfast is provided and we can buy snacks or hang out. The atmosphere is quite calm and relaxed, especially compared to Nice where we were right in the middle of the action. Despite not being centrally located in the city, everything we could need is nearby. The restaurants are a short walk away, and there's even a grocery store next door. We look forward to exploring Bordeaux from our new lodgings!
