Dining like a Kardashian

When my friends and I arrived in Paris, we all had specific monuments we wanted to visit, boutiques to shop at, and restaurants to dine in.  For me and my obsession with gossip magazines and the Kardashians, I knew I wanted to eat at a restaurant called L'Avenue because, on the plane ride to France, I saw a picture of Kim leaving the restaurant in a magazine that I was reading.Thankfully, my friends are as equally Kardashian-obsessed as I am so we wanted to make reservations right away and treat ourselves to a Kardashian-esque dinner of a lifetime!
However, making reservations wasn't so easy. When Alysa and I first called the restaurant from our not so technology-friendly hostel room, there was a problem with the service, and well as a language barrier. After repeating my cell phone number and last name at least 6 times to the poor girl who answered the phone at L'Avenue, we were finally penciled in for a table for 7 for the following night at 9pm.  We spent the rest of the day picking out clothes to wear and making up crazy scenarios in our heads in which we may have a chance of actually dining at a table beside Kim K!
When we arrived at the restaurant Tuesday evening, Ali, Alysa, Laura, Hannah, Natalie, Sarah, and I were all very excited.  We told the hostess our reservation time, and like magic, a velvet curtain was drawn and we were led into the swankiest restaurant any of us had ever seen.  When we first walked in, and after scanning the restaurant for any celebs, we noticed how delicious the food looked even under the extremely dim lighting and how happy everyone looked to be there.  We were  taken to a bar upstairs to wait for our table to be ready, where we all ordered drinks and munched on almonds and olives.  Then we were led back downstairs to our table, where we oohed and awed over all the yummy food on the menu (and at how expensive everything was!). I ended up ordering filet mignon, which was probably the best piece of steak I have ever eaten, and a hot chocolate cake for dessert.
Dinner at L'Avenue ended up being one of my favorite nights during our trip to France. Even though we didn't get to eat dinner in the presence of Kim Kardashian (she ended up eating there Wednesday night!), the night was spent in the presence of great friends and great food, and really, what more could you ask for?!
Laura, Hannah, and Natalie obviously enjoying their dinner.

PS. Hey you guys, I have a feeling we are going to be life long friends!! :)

Sarah, Ali, Alysa and I excited to finally eat!
