Closing time

This may not rhyme, and definitely isn't fitting but bare with me...

'Twas the night before America and all through the hostel, not a creature was stirring.... Except for the drunk karaoke singing Latinas..... our bags have been packed under the weight limit with care in hopes that we wouldn't receive an air fare. And I in my pj's, and my friends in their bunks have decided to blog so we don't flunk.... I'm not sure about how the rest of that goes but you get the point.

Not sure what I was trying to achieve with that but it seemed funny at the time.

Anyway, aside from the frigid cold weather Paris has been absolutely unbelievable. From the shopping to the cooking class and visiting Versailles, I can honestly say that I'm not sure ill ever experience what I've experienced in these past 6 days.

I've been very observant of the lifestyle that the Parisians live. It's different in good ways and bad. For example:
The good: Style. No wonder it's the fashion capital. These people know how to friggin' dress. The men in their pointy leather shoes and women nonchalantly rocking fur coats and vests like its nothing. (I can't imagine walking into g&t's or the commons with a fox around my neck... being harassed is an understatement.. I don't even want to think about it)
The bad: Smell. This is definitely not a myth. Some more than others but, you just have to experience it yourself. Also... Sometimes the cheese can smell super funky.. I thought I bought Brie from the supermarket. I unfolded the plastic wrap to find my eyes almost in tears, talk about STANK (ok, ok I'm exaggerating). It tasted pretty good on a baguette with roasted chicken.

In conclusion, this trip has forever changed my life for the better. I'd like to give a shout out to Dr. Pflanze (aka the pflanzster) and Dr. Logan (aka J-Lo). You guys are the best!

Until we meet again Paris............
