Bordeaux, France not only taught us how to become wine experts but also that not all of France are as warm as Nice. We stayed across the river from old town Bordeaux in a nice hostel that welcomed us each morning with a baguette, cheese, yogurt, coffee, and most importantly Nutella.
Our second town made us a little bit more adventurous to see what was around. Walking across the bridge was pleasant when weather was nice but tram use became frequent as the rain increased and our socks were no longer dry.
Our taxi driver described Bordeaux as a mini Paris and I would have to agree. The old architecture was interestingly speckled with modern shops. And the people dressed so well I think it dropped my ego a couple points. (Search for a husband still pending)
All in all Bordeaux was a great experience and I would like to return with better clothes and sun in the sky.
